From Bulldogs to Blazers.

It's official! JP will be joining me in the UAB Graduate School of Business.  While I am finishing my MBA, he will be starting his Masters in Accountancy.  I should finish sometime next year.  We aren't really sure when he will finish but possibly the end of next year or 2012.

If you didn't already know, JP passed the CPA exam earlier this year!  However, he is still not an official CPA.  In his opinion, as well as the majority of people, he has completed the hardest part.  But, he still needs to take 3 more classes and get a few more months of work experience until he is an official CPA.

JP has decided to finish his class requirement at UAB because UAB has an awesome benefit for its employees where they will not only pay for 18 hours a year for the employee but will also pay for 18 hours a year for the spouse (and, in case you were wondering, they pay for 1/2 tuition for children).  All we have to pay for is fees and books which really isn't much at all.  Additionally, instead of paying UAB and then getting reimbursed, they pay for tuition up front, and we only have to pay if we don't make the required grade.  We are very thankful he got in, because otherwise he would have had to go to Samford which would have been significantly more expensive!

We are still waiting on the job so he can fulfill the job requirement... and an income :) but are being patient.  God has provided for us during this time in which JP has been unemployed, and we know that He will continue to be faithful.  Even though we have a positive attitude about this time of unemployment, we are very ready for him to have a job.  We are hoping resources at UAB will help him with his search.

So with both of us taking classes in the fall, what will our fall look like? 
JP will have class Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights.  I will have classes Tuesday and Wednesday nights.  On Tuesday and Wednesday we will be passing each other in the parking lot as one of us will have and early class while the other will have a late class.  We've already determined the person with the early class will be in charge of dinner on those nights!

So JP and I will BOTH no longer be just Samford Bulldogs but also UAB Blazers starting August 17, just a few days after we get back from Disney World!
