PART I
On Friday at lunch I called JP to talk to him about our Friday night plans. At this time he informed me that he was taking me on a surprise date on Saturday and that I would have no idea where he was taking me.
Saturday morning JP and I got ready and headed out on our date. I closed my eyes because I was going to try and figure out where we were going. I could picture in my head where we were going until we turned off of 280. Then, I had to open my eyes. What I saw was that we were in Mountain Brook. We finally approached a shopping center that was home to Magic Muffins.
Apparently JP had seen this the other day when he was exploring and decided we needed to go. It was really good and really cheap! JP got two muffins and I got a chocolate chip biscuit and a blueberry muffin. They were so good that we had to get some to take home. We ended up getting one of each of the 8 kinds of muffins and it was only $4! We definitely will go back!
PART II
As we were leaving Magic Muffins we decided to explore Mountain Brook. As we were picking out the house we would one day live in we stumbled upon a sign reading "Estate Sale" and decided to check it out. We had a lot of fun checking out all the stuff and JP even found a few things he wanted. He had been looking for a bacon press for a long time and found one at the estate sale for $1!
As we approached the car, JP reached in his pocket and realized his keys were not there! We felt for sure he set them down in the garage when he first started inspecting some of tools. After looking all around the garage they were not there. We ended up looking all over the house for about 45 minutes and had all of the other people at the sale looking for them as well. After 45 minutes of looking we decided we would have to get a ride back to our apartment to get the spare key. As we were waiting for our ride, a lady found our keys in a trash can that was underneath a workbench. Apparently JP had set them down and they had fallen into the trash can. We were very relieved to find them but it was not a fun situation!
