I've decided to start putting quotes from JP and me in this blog. A lot of times they will probably be more entertaining in person and may just sound dumb if you weren't there. But, I will enjoy looking back at them one day because I will always remember what it was like LIVE!

After looking at this terrible house that neither JP, I, or the realtor liked...
JP: The only remotely good thing about that house was the neighbors dog.

While we were in a house that was obviously occupied by an elderly woman...
Realtor: I think this might be the case where she passed away and the kids are trying to sell it
Me: Don't tell me that! It makes me sad and I want to buy this house now just because I feel bad for the family.
Realtor: Ok, we'll just say she moved to a nursing home.
Me: Yeah, she's probably one of my patients

According to Rick and Bubba... Tennis is the fastest growing sport in America!

JP has a new found love for tennis that ammuses me. Before last Friday JP had never picked up a tennis racket. However, he had talked a lot of smack about beating my sister. I warned him that wouldn't happen! Sarah did dominate but every since then he has this new tennis obsession. All he could talk about was how I needed to get tennis balls when I went to walmart.

He's decided he needs a knee brace and ankle braces as well (he does have bad knees and ankles). I called him while I was looking at the braces at walmart to see which one he wanted me to get. He asked, "do they have tennis shoes there?" I said, "well not in the tennis section. you mean tennis shoes? not tenna shoes? what's wrong with your running shoes?" He responded, "I'll probably have to go to Dicks to get some." Again I'm thinking seriously what's wrong with the shoes you workout in? It just makes me laugh that after playing tennis one time he feels the need to buy special shoes.

I also bought myself a racket while I was at WalMart because our second one is one that a second grader would use. I had to call my sister to ask for advice and the only advise she gave me was to NOT get the pink one even though I really wanted it becaue is would SCREAM Walmart. So, while I was on the phone with JP I mentioned I was getting a racket...

Me: I'm getting another racket too

JP: Another racket?!?! How much did that cost?

Me: $15

JP: What are you getting? A little piece of metal?

Me: No. One just like the one you were playing with.

JP: Oh, well get it! I thought they were really expensive

Me: Well they can be. Sarah's is. But for what we are doing I think $15 is fine.

JP: Yeah, I guess you are right.

When I asked him today if he was going to workout, he responded, "I might play a little Tennis"

So don't be surprised if in the next few months JP shows up with an expensive tennis racket with real tennis shoes. Do we have a Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Andy Roddick on our hands?

A Step Inside Our Conversation...

JP: No one will reject us. We have good credit and a good down payment.

Megan: Well we don't know I have good credit. We ran a report on you, not me. I mean I should have good credit but we don't know. I mean for all we know someone stole my identity and gave me bad credit. I could quite possibly have terrible credit and will never be able to get a loan of any kind.

JP: Just let me do all the talking when we start talking to people about money.

JP and Megan's Pizzeria

Last night JP and I decide to make pizza. I just wanted to buy a crust but JP insisted we make our crust. So we headed off to Whole Foods to buy ingredients. We had a lot of fun there and of course spent more money than we planned (but that was mainly JP's fault and not mine).

After we made the dough and let it rise for an hour we shaped it into our pizzas.




After we got the crust ready we added all the ingredients. We got the yummiest sauce ever!

Twouble with Twitters and Wrestle Mania

Twouble with Twitters: I found this video very humorous. I myself twitter but mainly to give me something to look at when I'm bored at work. JP when asked if he knows what twitter is nodded his head yes. When asked if he would ever consider using it he nodded his head no and turned it back to the tv so he could watch the Undertaker his "favorite" wrestler. Tonight he apparently has developed a new found love of WWE wrestling with its "finest quality acting I've ever seen" (to quote him). We hope this love will end tonight.

The Big D

Last weekend I went to see Amanda in Dallas. I arrived Friday morning and left Monday afternoon. We had a lot of fun hanging out, shopping, and eating. I LOVE Dallas and absolutely loved being back!

Amanda picked me up from Love Field at 9:40am on Friday. JP was so kind to take me to the airport in BHM at 6:30 so I could make my early flight in time.

That afternoon, Amanda and I went to Sprinkles. I got an orange cupcake with a pure cane sugar Dr. Pepper... two things I can't get in Alabama!

For dinner Friday night we ate at ALO, my favorite Dallas restaurant. Our friend Anthony works there so that makes it fun! I LOVE aji de gallina!

Saturday we went to South Lake Town Center. It is the largest, cutest outdoor mall I have ever been to! We ate at Cafe Express for lunch and both got chicken salad sandwiches.

While at South Lake Town Center, we stumbled upon Piccomolo and decided to go in.

And boy we were glad we did! They had very good gellato!

Saturday night we went to the Village, the church we went to when I was in Dallas. I LOVE the Village SO much!

Matt Chandler is the pastor at the Village. I love his sermons!

After church we wanted to go to MINT for dinner. We used to go to the GREEN MINT all the time when I lived there.

BUT, since I've moved they opened the BLUE MINT... so I had to check it out!

Sunday morning we met Amanda's parents at Grand Lux Cafe in the Galleria. I got this yummy strawberry shortcake for dessert!

This is a JP and me with Amanda and her parents (Mike and Julie) at our wedding. They were so kind to come all the way from Dallas! They are some of my favorite people and I was so glad I got the chance to eat with them while I was in Dallas!

Amanda and I spent Sunday afternoon going to random places throughout Dallas including Snider Plaza... but everything was closed on Sunday!

We also went to the Teddy Bear Park in Highland Park. Amanda had never been!

I met Erin (one of my fellow Baylor interns) for dinner at Kona Grill. It was so good to get to catch up with her!

Monday rolled around and it was time for me to leave :( Before leaving Amanda and I went back to South Lake Town Center and went shopping at the Impeccable Pig... a really cute boutique. We loved all of their clothes and tried on close to 20 dresses a piece. It was SO much fun. We both ended up buying a couple of things.

Overall I had so much fun! I must say though that I was very glad that when JP picked me up from the airport that he didn't have to turn around and take me back two days later like it was last year!

Outside the SNOW is falling...

Alabama (and most of the South) brought in the month of March with SNOW! I haven't seen snow in Alabama in a long time. Last year I remember JP calling me as he was going out the door to play on the Quad in the snow. I however was in the great state of Texas who experienced no sticking snow.

So glad it snowed on a weekend and I didn't have to get in my snowy car and go to work!

Before we went to JP's uncle's house for lunch he took me by Samford. I had never seen a snowy Samford and really wanted to.

JP claims that because he took me to Samford this happened... what is this? He got pulled over for speeding. Apparently if we hadn't gone to Samford we would have missed the cop and wouldn't have been able to take this picture of us chillin' on the side of the road. Yeah... right :)
